The Small Business Advocacy Blog was established to help give business owners a resource to help them run their businesses. This Blog’s goal is to provide business owners with concise posts that will be helpful in the day-to-day running of their businesses.
In today’s tough business climate it is increasingly important for small businesses to take advantage of every opportunity afforded to them. The Small Business Advocacy Blog will be a tool to help you find those opportunities.

I’m interested in hearing more of what you advocate for. How large is still small? Partisan?
Hello Dan: Thanks for contacting us. The SBAC is not a partisan group. Indeed, we have many Republicans, Democrats and Independents in our organization. We are laser focused on the issues pertaining to small and medium size business. In that regard, we pressure both parties to get serious about helping our community and stop simply paying us lip service.
Some of our members are small companies grossing less than $250,000.00. However, we have many members that own and work for much larger companies.
A small business has been defined as a company which employs under 500 folks. Others consider small businesses to include companies which employ under 50 people. Bottom line is that it is difficult for any private company to get financing or obtain decent health insurance for affordable rates. We will be attempting to create insurance pools for our members, promoting their businesses and pushing legislation which will assist small business owners.
